Years ago, I suffered with debilitating migraines that had started after I gave birth to my second child. I knew stress was a trigger and with two young children and a full-time job in the software industry, stress was an inherent part of my life. Although, I was not sure what exactly set off my headaches every time. The doctors put me on a heavy dosage of painkillers that also included Codeine. I noticed that the medication set off a cycle of NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) induced headaches and I was desperate for help.
Fortunately, I came across Craniosacral Therapy and had several sessions over a course of two years. I noticed a tremendous improvement in the intensity and frequency of my migraines. Eventually, my migraine attacks started to lessen in severity and frequency. Nausea stopped and the pain became milder and tolerable compared to earlier and I now barely get them once a month as opposed to every 5 to 7 days, years ago. I rarely need even a paracetamol.
This inspired me to reach out to more people and help them with not only headaches but other chronic conditions especially after learning that CST could have very profound effects on both the emotional and physical being.
